And here we go for my second end-of-the-year Book Tag! I hope you’ll enjoy reading it!
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
I don’t know what I did this year but I have so many books that I have started and not finished yet! Among them, A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab (started in… March), Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber (received in a FairyLoot box and started during a reading slump. Guess what? It isn’t the book that cured it), Babel by R.F. Kuang… Without mentioning the books that are on my December TBR!
Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
As last year The Cruel Prince is perfect for fantasy lovers and fans of Autumn. An Enchantment of Raven is also absolutely perfect for autumn. I also like to transition into the end of the year by reading some cosy mysteries. Ah, and I recently (?) read Belladonna which is another very good choice because of its gloomy, gothic atmosphere!
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Yes! The eight-volume in the Zodiac Academy series is due in December!
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
Way too many! I think I’ll give priority to my December TBR (I love Christmassy books) and to Babel. Perhaps I’ll also manage to read Kingdom of the Feared since I really want to know how this series will end!
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
I hate this question because I usually read so many good books that I’m rarely capable of choosing just one favourite.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?
As always, the mood reader that I am doesn’t have precise plans but lots of potential options!

i started a darker shade of magic sometime in march/april too, i think?? AND HAVE SINCE STARTED IT FOR A TOTAL OF FOUR TIMES FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, but maybe its cursed because i can never get further than the first part?? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY. also omg babel!! I MUST READ. preferably before the year ends too. BUT ALSO AM SLIGHTLY AFRAID OF THE HEARTBREAK AND AM CONTEMPLATING READING IT AT NIGHT OR SOMETIME WHEN THE REST OF MY FAMILY ISNT HOME SO I CAN CRY IN PEACE. any chance you might be interested in buddy reading either of those two?? 👀 the cruel prince + enchantment of ravens + belladonna ALL GIVE SUCH EPIC AUTUMN VIBES, tysm for the recs?!! cruel prince is an all time favorite and NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, its probably high time i reread again. AND THEN CONTINUE WITH THE REST OF THE SERIES TOO OF COURSE. people tell me the third book IS THE BEST EVER, and am very excited to read!!
