Most anticipated books of 2022

2022 promises to be a great reading year given all the books I’m waiting for! Here are some of my most anticipated ones

The Monarchs by Kass Morgan & Danielle Paige – January 11

Ok, I’m cheating a bit with this one since it is already published but I was eagerly waiting for it!

House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas – February 15

The first volume of Crescent City was one of my favourite books of 2021 so I obviously can’t wait for this one!

Gallant by V. E. Schwab – March 1

I recently started my first book from this author and really enjoys it. So, when I saw she was publishing a new book this year, I naturally added it to my wishlist!

The Shadow in the Glass by J.J.A Hardwood – March 18

My favourite fairytale being Cinderella I had to add this retelling to the list!

For the Throne by Hannah F. Whitten – June 7

Another sequel I’m waiting for! I really enjoyed Winterwood and hope this one will be even better. I’ll probably try to read it next December since the atmosphere is very wintery.

Babel by R. F. Kuang – August 18

Oxford, 1836.

The city of dreaming spires.

It is the centre of all knowledge and progress in the world.

And at its centre is Babel, the Royal Institute of Translation. The tower from which all the power of the Empire flows.

Orphaned in Canton and brought to England by a mysterious guardian, Babel seemed like paradise to Robin Swift.

Until it became a prison…

But can a student stand against an empire?

Belladonna by Adalyn Grace – August 23

Orphaned as a baby, nineteen-year-old Signa has been raised by a string of guardians, each more interested in her wealth than her well-being—and each has met an untimely end. Her remaining relatives are the elusive Hawthornes, an eccentric family living at Thorn Grove, an estate both glittering and gloomy. Its patriarch mourns his late wife through wild parties, while his son grapples for control of the family’s waning reputation and his daughter suffers from a mysterious illness. But when their mother’s restless spirit appears claiming she was poisoned, Signa realizes that the family she depends on could be in grave danger.

Signa’s best chance of uncovering the murderer is an alliance with Death himself, a fascinating, dangerous shadow who has never been far from her side. Though he’s made her life a living hell, Death shows Signa that their growing connection may be more powerful—and more irresistible—than she ever dared imagine.

Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco – September 27

Cover to be revealed 😉
